For my alternate identity, I decided to be a car bum. Basically, I lived in my car. I already had all the right gear, so I was way set. I had my sleeping bag, plenty of sustenance, water, entertainment in the form of a book, puzzle, and rope, a pocket knife (just in case), extra layers, and of course, my headlamp. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. It got a little warm in the midday, but I rolled down my windows and I was fine. I used this time to catch up on some much needed sleep. Seriously, all I did was sleep and read. It was nice being mostly isolated and have time to clear my head and seriously have some 'me' time. But don't get me wrong, it was really, really boring.
As far as sleeping went, it wasn't the most comfortable bed ever, but I've slept on worse. I also wouldn't recommend eating only trail mix, veggie chips, and almonds for very long. I did bring along some Emergen-c for my daily vitamin intake. So at least I technically got some nutrients. All in all, I probably wouldn't do it again. I wouldn't mind spending the night in my car again, but I wouldn't spend the whole day in there.
